The School of Health Professions at UT San Antonio Health Science Center seeks to fill a faculty position immediately to support its master's program in speech-language pathology. This 12-month, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor with potential for promotion, will commence as early as January 2027. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Clinical Education of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Primary duties include:

· Coordinating clinical placements and maintaining communication with students, supervisors and placement sites;

· Helping prepare students for placements through onboarding, documentation, and orientation;

· Tracking placement requirements, clinical hours, evaluations, and other records in the clinical education system;

· Supporting community-based clinical programs and strengthening relationships with clinical partners;

· Establishing new clinical partnerships throughout San Antonio and surrounding communities;

· Collaborating with faculty to ensure alignment between clinical competencies and academic/clinical coursework;

· Designing, assisting, and ensuring effective use of simulation-based clinical training through evidence-based methods and evaluation.

Secondary duties include:

· Teaching online leveling and/or graduate-level courses based on needs of the Department and area(s) of expertise

· Contributing service to the institution and the professional community

Required Qualifications: at least a master’s degree (e.g., M.S., M.A., or SLP-D) in speech-language pathology; ASHA CCC-SLP certification; the ability to qualify for Texas speech-language licensure; and record of clinical and supervision experience.

Preferred Qualifications: prior experience in clinical education, higher education, healthcare coordination, supervision, and/or mentorship of graduate students; Spanish-language proficiency; and graduate-level teaching.
