This role offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates or individuals currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance to gain hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation, including complex Excel spreadsheets
• Research and analyze general ledger discrepancies using data mining tools

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or completed at least two years of coursework toward an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• One year of accounting-related work experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with financial institution operations
