Job Title: HR Manager/HR Business Partner (Temporary – ~3 Months)
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support a municipal department in a temporary capacity (approximately 3 months). This role will oversee day-to-day HR operations, provide strategic HR guidance, and partner with leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise HR staff and manage daily HR operations
- Serve as a strategic partner to department leadership on HR matters
- Handle complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Support recruitment, compensation, workforce planning, and organizational development
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and City policies
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend solutions and improvements
- Act as liaison between management, employees, and (if applicable) union representatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience (municipal or public sector experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO)
- Experience in employee relations, investigations, and HR program implementation
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
