Position Summary

As Controller, you will lead the accounting team and oversee all financial operations across multiple restaurant concepts and locations. You will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and analyzing financial statements, payroll, budgets, and tax compliance—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial performance.

This role is critical in driving informed decision-making, strengthening financial systems, and supporting both operational execution and long-term strategic growth.

Objectives of This Role

Provide comprehensive financial insights to senior management through detailed analysis and reporting

Guide financial decision-making using company policies and industry knowledge

Develop and maintain strong financial controls and accounting processes

Achieve budgeting and financial goals through analysis, planning, and corrective action

Support the development of short- and long-term strategies to drive continued growth

Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis across all locations

Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures

Establish financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards; deliver biweekly, monthly, and annual reports

Ensure compliance with all national and local regulations; recommend updates based on legislative changes

Manage and optimize payroll processes for accuracy and efficiency

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration

Conduct audits and financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency

Evaluate and enhance accounting systems, leveraging technology to streamline and improve processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum of 5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a multi-unit restaurant environment

Restaurant industry experience required

Strong knowledge of banking processes, revenue management, and financial analysis

Experience with payroll and national/local tax regulations

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification strongly preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Proficiency in accounting software and restaurant financial systems, including Restaurant365 (required) and Toast (preferred)

High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
