Director of Accounting

We’re seeking a hands-on Director of Accounting to lead financial operations for a rapidly growing organization. This role is ideal for a strategic accounting leader with advanced Sage Intacct expertise, strong operational finance skills, and experience supporting multi-entity growth.

Job Duties

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal controls
• Serve as the company’s Sage Intacct expert—optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, train users, and improve reporting accuracy
• Drive job costing, profitability analysis, and project-based accounting across multiple business lines
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights that support growth and operational decisions
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team in a fast-paced environment
• Strengthen financial systems, integrations, policies, and compliance processes

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
• Advanced, hands-on Sage Intacct expertise with the ability to train and support users
• Strong background in HVAC, construction, housing, or building industries
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and operational finance
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and multi-entity accounting
