Join the Critical Care Pharmacy Team at University Health San Antonio 🚨University Health is a large academic referral center with a Level I Trauma Center for adults & pediatrics, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level IV NICU & Maternal Care, adult & pediatric ECMO services, IDSA Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence, and the University Health Transplant Institute, providing liver, kidney, and lung transplantation for adults and liver and kidney transplantation for pediatric patients.Our Critical Care Pharmacy team includes 15 full-time clinical pharmacy specialists and 2 PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residents, supporting approximately 120 adult ICU beds.We are currently recruiting for four full-time Critical Care Pharmacist positions across our Adult ICUs:🏥 Adult ICU Operations Pharmacist 7-on/7-off | Mon–Wed: 0600–1830 | Thurs–Fri: 0730–2000 | Sat–Sun: 1130–2200🌙 Overnight ICU Pharmacists — 2 positions 7-on/7-off | 2000–0800❤️ Cardiothoracic & Transplant ICU Pharmacy Specialist 0700-1530 with weekend rotationAcross these positions, pharmacists provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for critically ill patients, including:• Code Blue & rapid response participation • Pharmacotherapy consults for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, warfarin & TPN • Medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship • Evidence-based critical care practice • Collaboration with multidisciplinary ICU teams • Opportunities to precept pharmacy students and residents • Participation in Pharmacy & Therapeutics SubcommitteesThe CTICU/Transplant position provides dedicated pharmacy support to complex cardiothoracic and transplant patient populations, while the Adult ICU Operations and Overnight positions provide clinical coverage across our diverse Adult ICUs.If you are passionate about critical care pharmacy and practicing at the highest level within an academic medical center, please reach out to me for more information!
