Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman carpenter.

Work Schedule: Day shift - Monday thru Friday from 7am-3:30pm.

Job Duties:

1. Completes carpentry work in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of new and existing buildings, floors (tiles, ceramic and VCT), roofs, walls, stairways, doors, windows, cabinets, ceiling tiles, restroom partitions cabinets and other structures.
2. Operates power saws, planers, jointers, hand tools and other equipment.
3. Selects wood, cuts to size, and sands the surface.
4. Cleans, sharpens, and repairs hand tools, bench tools, saws and other equipment.
5. Assists with time estimates and materials required for a job.
6. Assists other trades as needed to include plumbing and electrical.
7. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

1-3 years related experience is required.
