Adjunct Faculty - PhD in Health Sciences

The Department of Health Sciences in the School of Health Professions invites applications for a Part-Time Adjunct Faculty position to assist with the development and implementation of the Issues and Trends in Healthcare course in the PhD in Health Sciences program. This position will begin as soon as possible and will include teaching responsibilities for the summer semester.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with departmental leadership, develop content for the Issues and Trends in Healthcare course in the PhD in Health Sciences program.
  • Create online course modules, including lectures, study materials, and assessments.
  • Develop core curriculum outlines and work with faculty to identify key roles.
  • Establish program and course learning objectives that align with the mission of the program, the school, and UT Health San Antonio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to the Department of Health Sciences.

Faculty may also engage in collaborative scholarly activities. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in community, professional, and university service activities, as appropriate. This is a part-time adjunct position and reports to the Program Director and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences.

Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in a relevant health-related discipline (e.g., Health Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field).
  • Demonstrated experience teaching in a graduate setting.
  • Experience designing and teaching online courses.
