Endocrine Surgeon - Assistant Professor/ Clinical

The Division of Surgical Oncology & Endocrine Surgery in the Department of Surgery and the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Endocrine Surgeon for an Assistant Professor/Clinical faculty position.

The successful candidate would join a thriving multidisciplinary surgical oncology program and be able to leverage world-class scientific collaborations and robust infrastructure for investigator-initiated and population-based clinical trials in addition to translation, clinical, and health-services research opportunities.

We expect this individual to hold an academic appointment in the Department of Surgery. They will report to the Chief of Surgical Oncology & Endocrine Surgery and be expected to have administrative, clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities in the Mays Cancer Center, one of the nation's NCI-Designated Cancer Centers with over a 40-year tradition of excellence in the development of new cancer therapies, understanding cancer biology, and decreasing the burden of Cancer in San Antonio and South Texas.

The candidates should be fellowship trained in Surgical Oncology or Endocrine Surgery with an interest and expertise in endocrine systems along with general surgical oncology. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, research, and educational programs of our multidisciplinary practice. This will include teaching of both residents and medical students. Candidates should hold an M.D. or equivalent and be board-certified/eligible in General Surgery. Candidates should be eligible for licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
