HVAC Controls Technician-Intermediate (Kyle Seale Parkway)

Under general supervision, provides highly technical skills in the construction, installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic and pneumatic controls of HVAC, fire alarm and related automation systems.

• Responsible for layout, construction, installation, repair, modification, inspection and maintenance of electronic and pneumatic equipment based on electrical circuit, engineering, and mathematics principles.
• Confers with users in order to gain an understanding of their needs and/or provide technical advice.
• Identifies and troubleshoots equipment problems using diagnostic techniques.
• Orders and installs replacement parts as needed.
• Installs and programs controllers for new construction projects.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Basic understanding of Low Voltage Control Systems, Electromechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-pneumatic devices.
• Knowledge of all building and safety codes.
• Proficiency with computers and building automation software.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED is required.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.
