Network Administrator-Intermediate

Under general supervision, responsible for managing the more complex network systems and resolving network problems.

• Monitors, troubleshoots and maintains network (both LAN and WAN) multiplexers, hubs and routers, and uses remote monitoring tools.
• Provides end-user support for network connectivity issues; installs new workstations and peripheral devices, manages user access, archives files, implements security measures including password protection measures.
• Assists in selecting and implementing network management applications for Internet components.
• Installs and maintains network related equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, etc. according to established guidelines.
• Make recommendations for improving the reliability and performance of the network.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Experience directly related to administering Windows Server, Active Directory, LAN\WAN implementations, troubleshooting using Cisco switches and routers, and administering Microsoft Exchange and SQL.
• Self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges with the ability to solve problems with creative solutions and work well in a team environment.
• Strong network trouble shooting skills to include identifying problems, determining root cause, and timely resolution.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work with teams to provide input on improvements to existing processes and systems.
• Strong oral and written skills.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years experience is required.
