Responsible for providing support with planning, monitoring and implementing the strategic agenda for the School. Serves as a senior advisor reporting to the Senior Executive Vice President for Research (SEVP) on a wide variety of administrative and executive duties, special projects and initiatives.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Advanced consultative, analytical and influencing skills; ability to work collaboratively building relationships and advising senior executives.
- Able to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong ability to synthesize and communicate plans and organizational information.
- Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations.
Serves in the capacity of advisor to the SEVP for Research in interactions with colleagues across the schools and institution to ensure institutional alignment with strategic initiatives.
- Coordinates and interacts heavily with senior leaders and executives, external affiliate leadership, and other external partners on a diverse range of strategic, operational, political and organizational matters.
- Oversees the planning, execution and follow-up activities of leadership meetings and high-profile special events.
- Manages and oversees communications of the SEVP's Office of Research and directs relative internal/external communications.
- Coordinates the execution of school-wide projects undertaken, as well as handling questions, concerns, issues and requests.
- Exercises considerable judgement with the responsibility for analyzing policy issues, identifying school-wide impacts and coordinating responses to the SEVP for appropriate solutions.
- Collaborates with executive leadership on projects that support the missions and strategic priorities, including enterprise alignment, re-accreditation, strategic planning, security and other compliance initiatives.
- Assists SEVP with correspondence dealing with issues and subject matters requiring considerable sensitivity, discretion, judgement and negotiation.
- Maintains effective relationships in all interactions with internal/external constituencies in direct support of the SEVP for Research.
- Facilitates and provides expertise with strategic management processes critical to achieving strategic planning goals. P
- Prepares and/or contributes to the preparation of reports, proposals, briefing, presentation, and responses on institutional and strategic issues.
- Provides principal management support resulting in the seamless functioning and management of the Office of the SEVP for Research.
- Provides SEVP with all necessary preparatory background information in preparation for daily meetings.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
