Oversees the administration and project management of the institution's maintenance-oriented renovation projects. Ensures that the institution is in compliance with joint commission and other regulatory agencies.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:45am to 4:45pm. Must have flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Proven knowledge in design, construction administration, and/or construction project management.
- Ability to lead in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar scheduling system is preferred.
- Ability to be hands-on and balance time between management activities within the office and on the jobsite.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Working in a clinical environment.
- Knowledge of joint commission requirements.
- Familiar with PCRA, ICRA, and other infection control measures.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.
LICENSES:
- Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is not required but preferred.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) is not required but preferred.
- Manages and coordinates the project construction process.
- Ensures completion within established schedule, budgetary limits and in accordance with design specifications and regulatory codes.
- Maintains familiarity with design, engineering, scope, and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
- Coordinates activities of the design and construction project teams.
- Conducts project meetings and maintains project tracking and analysis.
- Analyzes, compares, and evaluates various courses of action and makes independent decisions on matters of significance.
- Coordinates project level communication to stakeholders, contractors, trade shop leaders, campus departments and institutional leadership.
- Performs project closeout duties and interfaces with enterprise software system for project management.
- Assists with joint commission compliance including but not limited to physical environment inspections, water management programs, and deficiency resolution.
- Assists with joint commission documentation.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
