Under general supervision, responsible for building and testing clinical information system processes. Interacts professionally with leadership, faculty and staff and provides leadership and mentoring to more junior members of the application team.

Expereince: A minimum of three (3) years of related Epic experience is required.

Licenses and certifications:

Radiant certification or proficiency is strongly preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Equivalent years of experience may be considered


Responsible for supporting the Epic Specialty application in various tasks ranging from troubleshooting, system enhancements/build, validation, testing, and training. Guidance and general oversight may be required for more technical build and analysis.

Performs ongoing maintenance and configuration updates to Epic Radiant and Specialty applications.

Under minimal supervision, responsible for Radiant and or Specialty application(s)/module(s) of Epic.

Responsible for documenting and adhering to the internal processes for UT Health Information Technology.

Provides Tier-II support to team and/or collaborate with counterparts from other applications to successfully meet the development and implementation objectives for assigned Epic applications.

Provides Tier-II support to end-users both remotely and in-person. Monitors, investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves incoming tickets. Serves as a liaison between users and vendors.

Collaborates with all Epic team(s) and Operations for ongoing software maintenance and optimization.

Under minimal supervision, serves as Project Lead for key initiatives as assigned.

Develops, documents, and adheres to internal procedures; utilized in conjunction with related applications and systems.

Establishes, documents, and adheres to change-control procedures for the system.

Assist in populating, testing, monitoring, or general maintenance.

Works with Clinicians to interpret and document current workflows and anticipating future workflows that are optimized for any planned application changes.

Under minimal supervision, creates test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes. Performs testing of Clinical Information System configuration and processes, including testing across applications and/or the testing of the application configuration of other analysts. Coordinates and participates in requestor and user testing of application changes.

Present recommended system enhancement opportunities and solutions for clinic-related scenarios. Identify, propose, build, and demonstrate prototypes of application configuration options for approval.

Coordinates system fixes and changes with software vendors. Coordinates the deployment of application changes with the training team and operations.
