Under limited supervision, responsible for providing phlebotomy services for the phlebotomy team. Mentors, trains, and leads lower level Phlebotomists.
Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work between 7:00am-6:00pm as needed.
Must be available to cover at different locations/clinics as needed. Ideal candidates must have reliable transportation in case they're needed at a different clinic.

- Highly organized and detailed oriented in documenting information while practicing good follow-through techniques.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enter, and interpret data or related information.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Certified Phlebotomist Technologist (CPT) certification is preferred.
- Properly identifies patient according to policy, draws blood samples, labels specimens and sends to laboratory for analysis.
- Maintains records of tests performed and samples taken.
- Generates patient collection lists and labels, ensures the correct test are collected, verifying collection of all specimens, and label appropriately.
- Correctly processes specimens to include centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling based on specimen requirements.
- Inventories supplies, equipment and requisitions as needed.
- Stocks workstation with necessary supplies.
- Provides customer service to both patients and providers.
- Provides in-service training and precepts Phlebotomists.
- Participates in developing best practices in clinical work flows.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
