As a Sr Aircraft Technician you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness by completing inspections, repairs, and functional tests. Documents actions by signing-off and completing FAA and Valero required forms, reports, logs, and records. A primary requisite for this position is the ability to make unsupervised safety of flight decisions and possess a high degree of attention to detail.

- Supervises aircraft maintenance at Authorized Maintenance Facilities.
- Applies theoretical, systematical, and creative thinking to perform complex systems troubleshooting so as to minimize impact upon flight schedule and maximize company resources and ensure safety of company aircraft.
- Identifies an issue, analyze and research a problem, formulate a solution or a recommendation for review or additional test and analysis.
- Maintains complete and accurate aircraft, engine, and appliance records to ensure timely compliance with all inspections, component changes, and airworthiness requirements.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and repairs on aircraft in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations,
- FAA regulations, and company policies.
- Recognizes and accomplishes tasks/duties to ensure availability of aircraft and provide a high level of customer service.
- Makes informed decisions that impact the organization financial and/or mission-related success.
- Answers frequent questions and mitigates concerns in an appropriate and professional way with the highest levels of management.
- Travels as required for training and off-site monitoring of aircraft maintenance.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience as an aircraft technician on a turbine-powered corporate class aircraft while holding valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certificate, including experience using electronic and internet-based technical manuals, maintenance, and trouble-shooting programs required.
- Successful completion of Maintenance Initial training on all turbine-powered company operated aircraft, Maintenance Recurrent training, an aircraft maintenance manager course, and avionics specific training on at least one turbine-powered company operated aircraft required.
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification.
- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio Hanger location.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Gulfstream G280, G500, G600 experience.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification.
