JOB SUMMARY
The Loan Processor is responsible for the review of attorney prepared loan documents or preparation of loan documents to complete loan packages for real estate and non-real estate loans, including commercial, consumer, and SBA loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications. Conduct reviews of all real estate documentation for accuracy and ensure liens are cleared on title policies and prepared for proper recording of the bank’s liens. Conduct reviews or preparation of documentation for non-real estate loans to ensure liens are cleared through the recording entity and the bank’s lien is properly recorded timely. Ensure loans are coded properly, are documented according to loan policy, and lending authority approvals are accurate. Ensure collection of loan fees and review settlement statements to ensure fees and costs are accurate. Prepare all closing documents, ensure they are properly signed and prepared for funding and booking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Reviews Commercial and Consumer loan documentation; verify the accuracy of all loan documentation based on the approval and the bank’s loan policy. Ensure the loan amount, terms, purpose, collateral are accurate as per the approval. Ensure the disbursement is accurate and once the loan is executed, prepare the loan for funding and booking.
2. Internal documentation is processed with the Laser Pro loan documentation system if not attorney prepared.
3. Prepare in house loan documents and disclosures to complete loan package for closing.
4. Assists loan officers to ensure proper related documentation is prepared and/or provided.
5. Have a good knowledge of UCC requirement for recording and releasing the bank’s liens.
6. Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; support the Bank’s goals and values through outside activities.
7. Familiarity with federal loan regulations pertaining to loan documentation which include, Reg B, CRA, Flood insurance and Reg Z.
8. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations, which include BSA, CIP, and OFAC requirements as they apply to this job title/position.
9. Provide support for loan operations manager as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or associates certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a credit or loan processing background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
- Basic level of work experience, knowledge and training in all loan production activities and terminology.
- Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies.
- Basic knowledge of title policies and related loan regulations such as RESPA, HMDA and other Bank lending policies on loans to directors.
- Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Intermediate math skills; calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work general supervision while performing duties.
