Your Recipe for Impact — What You’ll Do

As a Social Content Specialist, you’ll bring our brand to life through compelling, video-first storytelling that connects with our fans and communities. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Whataburger shows up across social platforms—creating content that strengthens brand love, drives engagement, and fuels business impact.

Day-to-Day Ingredients — Responsibilities

As a Social Content Specialist, you will:

  • Create and publish engaging short- and long-form video content across social platforms
  • Manage end-to-end content production, including concepting, filming, editing, and post-production
  • Execute social media campaigns aligned with brand and marketing strategies
  • Partner with influencers and brand advocates to expand reach and engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor social trends and identify opportunities for innovative, relevant content
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize content based on insights
  • Develop supporting digital and graphic assets to reinforce campaign messaging

What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience

As a Social Content Specialist, you must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation
  • Proven experience creating and editing video content for digital and social platforms
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, tools, and platform best practices
  • Experience executing content strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Extra Toppings — Desired Experience

As a Social Content Specialist, we prefer you to have:

  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or brand ambassador programs
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools and performance reporting
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Experience partnering with agencies or external vendors
  • Knowledge of video-first storytelling strategies and emerging platforms
  • Passion for food, culture, and creating content that resonates with diverse audiences

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on‑site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast‑paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full‑time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
