Corporate Chaplain will provide voluntary, confidential, and non-denominational spiritual and emotional support to employees and their immediate families.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Chaplain or Chaplain related work.
  • Board Certified in Chaplaincy or Pastoral Care or Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, Counseling, Psychology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust across diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; identify, recommend, and improve current processes.
  • Superior customer service skills, with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask as well as adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, think and plan ahead and bring issues to attention of management.

What are the physical demands?

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, or email. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. Frequent travel to office locations, project sites, and remote work areas. Flexible schedule, required to respond to critical incidents or urgent employee needs, which may include evenings or weekends.

What will you do as a Corporate Chaplain?

Reporting up through the Senior Director of Employee Relations and Advocacy and working closely with the Employee Assistance team, the Corporate Chaplain will provide voluntary, confidential, and non-denominational spiritual and emotional support to employees and their immediate families. This role fosters a positive and supportive work environment by offering care during personal and professional challenges, promoting mental well-being, and collaborating with internal resources to ensure holistic support. The Corporate Chaplain will primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for personal issues (e.g., grief, stress, illness, and family challenges).

  • Offer spiritual guidance upon request, including optional activities such as devotionals or opening prayers for meetings. Ensuring services have an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care that is respectful of all employees.

  • Respond to workplace crises (e.g., mental health emergencies, onsite critical incidents and emergencies, etc.) in collaboration with the Zachry Employee Assistance Program (EAP) team and other internal teams.

  • Provide advice on ethical dilemmas in alignment with company policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Conduct regular on-site and virtual visits to Zachry offices, project sites, and remote locations.
  • Promote awareness of chaplaincy services across the organization.

  • Partner with EAP and other internal resources to provide holistic care and referrals.

  • Promote mental health education and awareness initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain proper administrative procedures for the department in accordance with company policy.

  • Develop and maintain procedures to keep records of pastoral activity to communicate with other members of the department and company.

  • Other duties as assigned.
