Zachry Group is seeking a Security Officer II for its Corporate Office in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will provide services that aid in the protection of employees, customers, guests, and property, from harm or accidental loss. The Security Officer will make reasonable efforts to provide customer service to both internal and external customers, participate in proactive safety measures and respond to emergencies.


Security Officer II Home office – Security Department Zachry Group is seeking a Security Officer II for its Corporate Office in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will provide services that aid in the protection of employees, customers, guests, and property, from harm or accidental loss. The Security Officer will make reasonable efforts to provide customer service to both internal and external customers, participate in proactive safety measures and respond to emergencies.
  • Ability to work all shifts including 4:45 AM-12:45 PM / 12:45-8:45 PM / 10 AM-6PM
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ Security experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Level I State Security Certification or prior Peace Officer status
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid certification within 6 months of employment
  • Willingness and versatility to work extended or extra shifts when required
  • Values ethics, professionalism, and maintains confidentiality
  • Valid driver’s license is required

  • Control entry and exit of personnel and property
  • Provide loss prevention-deterrence of theft and unlawful activity by utilizing high visibility patrols and surveillance.
  • Responsible for traffic safety on Logwood property and facility key control
  • Assist employees, guests, clients, and field operations needs
  • Inspect property for security breaches and system malfunctions
  • Provide EMS assistance as needed – to stabilize, and coordinate emergency situations
  • Responsible for intrusion and fire alarm response
  • Provide activity reporting and follow-up on occurrences and complaints to include investigations of unlawful activity.
  • Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections
  • Assist in training of officers assigned to post and patrol positions
  • Conduct business in a professional manner
  • Become familiar with operating procedures for all Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Create, maintain, and utilize logs, access lists and emergency notifications
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
