Summary:
OKIN Process seeks an Instructional Supervisor who can work with the Instructional Manager, to lead our tutors to better performance and improve service quality. The Instructional Supervisor will assist in establishing Learning Moment objectives, provide tutors with opportunities to expand their knowledge of services, products, and troubleshooting techniques, analyze Learning Moment data, and focus on improving performance and processes to better support students, teachers, and district staff. To be a successful Instructional Supervisor, you should be focused on improving your team of tutors and Learning Moment practices. You should be observant and detail-oriented and understand the business, the products and services, and the issues tutors face on the virtual educational platform.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direction and leadership to the tutoring staff
- Works with Instructional Manager in facilitating staff meetings to recognize team success
- Supports service goals and assures quality standards are met by training, coaching, and interacting with staff.
- Assists with conducting annual performance reviews and other appropriate personnel actions in conjunction with the Instructional Manager.
- Develops staff to be capable of meeting current and future operating needs through training and coaching.
- Cultivate an environment of trust, teamwork, and ownership.
- In collaboration with the instructional manager, Identify and implement strategies through a variety of methods synchronously to ensure appropriate instructional practices are used by tutors to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability
- Provide direction and leadership to tutors, including overseeing task completion by tutors when they are not engaging with students directly.
- Supports Instructional Manager and performs management duties when a manager is absent or out of office
- Sharing lesson plans and ideas
Duties include:
- Oversee the day to day activities of team leads and tutors
- Identify problems and propose solutions
- Manage the performance of tutors. Including overseeing all operations activity and log data
- Provide direction and leadership to tutors
- Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability
- Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
- Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
- Communicates deadlines and goals to team members
- Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals
- Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
- Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines
- Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces (when applicable) meet and exceed company presentation standards
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4+ years of experience with progressively increased responsibility in the educational technology industry, at least three years of experience in operations/site management, or equivalent management experience.
- Good leadership qualities and motivational skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and personal initiative
- The right person must be able to work in a high pace environment. Must be goal-oriented and a self-starter. Must also have a creative attitude to meet company goals and expectations.
