Summary:

As OKIN's Tutor Generalist, you will provide remote support to K-12 students on essential subject matters such as (Maths, Science, Physics, History, and English). You will be the first point of contact for students who contact the helpline via phone, chat, and video.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information

• Tutor students remotely by way of chat, voice, and video

• Maintains and updates log session details such as topics covered,

• Establish a friendly, encouraging, and welcoming environment for students upon their entering of the establishment

• Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks

Duties include:

• Providing students positive and constructive feedback

• Demonstrating academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research and writing tactics

• Reviewing Classroom or curricula topics and assignments

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively manage time and schedules

• Establish a friendly, encouraging and welcoming virtual environment for students

• Experience working with children in a virtual setting

• Ability to teach students of all ages at varying levels of understanding and proficiency

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written

• Knowledge of tutorial/learning materials and instructional aids

• Knowledge of peer counseling/tutoring processes and methods

• Basic data entry/word processing skills

• Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans

• High school students encouraged to apply
