Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager manages project operations for midstream oil & gas facilities within the company’s operating regions and oversees all phases of the project life cycle for multiple complex projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plans and executes complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, leveraging advanced analytical skills.
  • Identifies and delineates tasks, along with the necessary resources, to optimize project outcomes.
  • Oversees budget management, exercising fiscal responsibility and strategic allocation of funds.
  • Allocates resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
  • Develops comprehensive schedules and project timelines, applying advanced project management methodologies.
  • Monitors and tracks deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Evaluates project progress and prepares detailed reports for stakeholders, addressing challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Implements and manages necessary changes proactively to ensure project objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, particularly within engineering contexts.
  • Skilled in project planning, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Proficient in utilizing project management software tools effectively.
  • Adept at coordinating resources and engaging stakeholders efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate and resolve project challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Proven leadership capabilities to inspire and guide project teams.
  • Dedicated to maintaining quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science or related field or 10+ years’ experience in oil & gas midstream projects in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in oil & gas midstream projects
  • 3+ years’ experience with relevant techniques and tools
  • 5+ years’ project management experience

Certifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred

Travel:

Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

Equipment:

Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.

Mental and Physical Demands:

General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing up to 30 pounds.

Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions and deadlines.

May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Environmental Factors:

Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional exposure to weather related conditions when working in an outdoor environment.
